A spring matching challenge showed how modest monthly gifts multiply. Using our $1 = 10 meals model, the campaign unlocked pantry restocks for partner shelves in Matteson and Homewood.
“We do not need perfection to fight hunger,” said Principal Officer Katharine McQueen. “We need consistency — and neighbors who refuse to look away.”

Program & Outreach Director Lawrence J. Hayes, M.S.W., noted that youth involvement reduces stigma and builds long-term community muscle for hunger relief.
